Disc Bulge: Can it Get Better Without Surgery?

What is a Disc Bulge?

A Disc Bulge occurs when the tough outer (annular) fibers of the disc weaken and stretch out. This allows the “jelly center” of the spinal disc to “bulge” outward toward the nearby spinal cord and nerve roots. Disc Bulges are generally considered the first step toward more serious problems such as Herniated Discs or Disc Extrusions. All three forms of disc injury can compress the spinal cord (often called Spinal Stenosis) or impinge upon the spinal nerve roots (“Pinched Nerve”).

Disc Bulge Symptoms

Spinal Stenosis or Nerve Impingement caused by a Disc Bulge can cause a variety of debilitating symptoms. The most common symptoms of a Disc Bulge are Numbness, Tingling, Burning or Sharp Pain along the course of the irritated nerve. The nerves of the neck often lead to these symptoms in the upper back, shoulders or into the arms. Similarly, Nerve Impingement or Spinal Stenosis at the level of the low back will usually cause symptoms in the low back, buttocks and into the legs.

Disc Bulge :: Non-Surgical DRX9000 Spinal Disc Decompression

Non-Surgical Spinal Disc Decompression slowly and methodically separates the bones of the spine using DRX9000 Spinal Decompression equipment. Pressure upon the nerve roots and spinal cord is slowly reduced as a vacuum is formed within the disc and the Disc Bulge reduced in size. This “sucking” vacuum also pulls vitally important oxygen and nutrients into the injured and degenerated discs allowing the disc to fully heal.
